The Agriculture, Livestock, and Cooperatives Department of Murang'a County is dedicated to fostering a robust agricultural sector, enhancing livestock production, and promoting cooperative movements. Our goal is to ensure food security, improve livelihoods, and drive sustainable economic growth by leveraging the county's rich agricultural potential.

Our key initiatives include:

1. Agricultural Development: Implement advanced farming techniques and provide resources to farmers to increase crop yields, improve food quality, and ensure sustainability. We offer training programs, access to modern equipment, and support for adopting best agricultural practices.
2. Livestock Enhancement: Support livestock farmers by providing veterinary services, breeding programs, and access to quality feeds. We aim to improve livestock health, productivity, and market access to ensure the prosperity of our livestock sector.
3. Cooperative Strengthening: Promote and support cooperative societies as a means to empower farmers and other stakeholders. We facilitate the formation of cooperatives, provide management training, and offer financial and technical assistance to enhance their effectiveness.
4. Market Access and Value Addition: Develop and improve market infrastructure, facilitate access to local and international markets, and encourage value addition to agricultural and livestock products to increase income for farmers and producers.
5. Sustainable Practices: Promote sustainable farming and livestock practices that protect the environment, conserve resources, and ensure long-term productivity and resilience against climate change.

By working together with farmers, livestock keepers, and cooperatives, we aim to create a thriving agricultural sector that is resilient, innovative, and inclusive. Join us in our mission to cultivate a prosperous future for Murang'a County through sustainable agriculture and cooperative growth.
